History

The history of Vestey and RARI started more than 100 years ago: almost at the same time, at the end of the 19th century two meat trading companies were founded, in England by the Vestey family and in Germany by the Rachow family. Nobody would have imagined at that time that the great success of both these companies would be the import of frozen products. Both companies have always been managed by the owners and represent product quality as well as inside knowledge of the market and customers’ needs.

Since 2002 already, the companies Vestey (formerly Angliss) and RARI belong together and operate jointly.

Since September 2007 they now act under one single name and thus document their joint identity to the outside world.

The company is now named after its owner Lord Vestey, whose family is in the worldwide food trading business for three generations now.
